Philadelphia Trip…

I don’t have the photos I promised.  I got some cell phone pictures of Marilyn, but the camera stayed in the car.  Why you probably ask?  My camera weighs over 2 lbs first off and secondly we weren’t in an area I felt comfortable just carrying it around.

The concert was really fun.  The audience is crazy though.  I never been to a concert where everyone was fighting to get to the front like they were here.  They made it suck somewhat because you had to be paying attention to the people around you or you would be slammed into this wall that we were next too.  It made you not fully concentrate on the concert which is what I was there to do.  He is a great artist though and it was really fun.

If I would go again, I would get seats upstairs where it looked much calmer.  I might just be woosey though because those ladies that were riding on top of the crowd and ultimately landed on there heads did get up smiling almost every time from what I could see.

It was fun though.  When we got out all the taxi’s were gone or not there yet, we had planned on taking a taxi.   We just walked to where we were going though amazing that we found it.  It was 15 blocks.  Yeah that is 15 blocks for us in short sleeve shirts, late at night, in January in Philadelphia. Philadelphia at a place we both had only been to one time.  Stephen had never been to Philadelphia at all ever before.   We were freezing.  LOL…  It was fun though.  LOL…

I had thought we were going to go to traditional tourist places, like the liberty bell and stuff like that.  We ended up not doing anything that I thought we would.  We were staying with Stephen’s best friend all through high school and he got off early from work to show us around.

That was very very cool, so all day Monday instead of touring lost.  We sort of had a guide.  Well, we did a self guided tour for the morning, we walked and walked and walked.  Than we found our way back amazingly without a taxi.  We were in a mall, a few art and theatre places like the Kimmel Center.  When they got to our guided tour, we went a different direction to a different mall, a 2 story Staples, we ate at Olive Garden.  We got cocoa at this place called Naked Chocolate, which this was essentially expensive chocolate melted in a cup to drink.  It was so rich.  LOL…  I think I walked a few miles that day.  My feet are still slightly sore.

We left there at like 7 pm and were home at like 10:30 after picking up Kyra.  I went straight to bed basically.  Kyra was sleep before we got here of course.

Divorced and have Job Interview…

I have been divorced officially for a little over an hour.  Woo Hoo!

I have a job interview on Monday as well. Woo Hoo!

I couldn’t wait to tell, so here I am.  I am going to celebrate tonight.  I know that I can conquer this interview.  I think they will love me.  I know I can do a good job for them.  The divorce is pretty great too.  I am just having a totally exciting day and after totally being lazy all day yesterday.

I couldn’t sleep well last night because of that nap I took yesterday.  I know tonight, when I hit the bed.  I am going to just crash out cold. Anyways, I hope your day is going great too.

Divorce Signing Scheduled

Yeah, to me it seems like Adam has been gone for quite awhile, but it has been 5 months now.  Well, our divorce is going to be final next Thursday.  We go sign it in the morning on that day.  I am so happy because of this…I know that probably isn’t the normal feeling for this type of event.  People always tell me how sorry they are when I tell them I am divorced or getting a divorce, but honestly…it isn’t a very sad event for me.  It is almost joyful.

My divorce being final means that I can go see what financial aid I am eligible for at the college and see how broke I will ultimately be.  It will determine if I decide to go full-time to college while driving bus and barely paying my bills or if I go to school part-time and get a full-time job to help me pay my bills more easy.

I am very excited.

Changing the subject, I found this Kiss photo online today and had to share it here.  It is a beautiful story/photograph.

Have a great day…

Job Interviews…

It is true, that I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. I do know I can’t afford to stay a bus driver, it took awhile to sink in. Today though, I was actually pretty serious. I applied for two jobs (well one I e-mailed last night) and got two instant interviews which was basically shocking.

One was to drive delinquent juveniles to and from court, which could be an interesting job. It would be a good job. I mean I do like driving, it is more a money issue than a dislike of driving.

This job will be different though, so I don’t know if I will like not having basically any type of relationship with the people I am driving around, they won’t be long term. It will always be different people. I think that I like driving now because of my relationship with my kids. I cry at the thought of leaving them. If I never drive the same person twice and who wants to when they are the delinquents. We want them to straighten up and never see them again. I don’t think I would like this job ultimately.

Ok, so the second interview has me a bit excited. Okay…very excited. My heart is beating faster just thinking about how much fun it could possibly be. Hope with me that they call me. This is at a car dealership and I would take pictures of cars (Yeah, you all know how much I like taking pictures right???). Anyways, take them and load them onto their internet site. I would respond via e-mail to all there car inquiries they get online. This is something that I could so do and it makes me smile.

The hours are from 9-6 though, which is crazy. I have been thinking about it though and it is probably cool that I could sleep in. I could stay up until midnight and still get 8 hours of sleep. That is a lovely idea… Kyra would learn to sleep in too. I think.

They didn’t reveal the pay yet, but I think/hope that I would have way more money too, so I could manage to go straight from there out to eat or whatever with Kyra or anyone else for that matter. It could be very fun.

I also would initially need to do some clothing shopping as it is a more dress up job of which my blue jeans won’t do. Isn’t it crazy that I do not own a pair of dress pants at all. I think my shirts will be fine for the most part though, I think I dress pretty nicely though. You know my sweaters and v neck shirts should work perfectly with some tan dress pants.

Oh, I hope they call me….

Anyways, I had to tell you all about that before tonight. I am still planning on going to school part-time too because I do really want to finish my degree as well. I deserve it.

Oh and I already have 2 bus drivers who are willing to watch Kyra during the days that I have her, so she would be with people she knows and that I trust. How does this all work out in life?? Now to only hope that I get the call….LOL…

The Date…

We went to eat at this really expensive place….like way too expensive for my tastes.  I didn’t know what some of the stuff on the menu even was.  It was really nice though, I could learn this type of menus. I am guessing that the ultimate bill was close to $100 for just the two of us.  Oh well on that though, I wasn’t paying.

I had this salmon with all sort of herbs and a rice base.  It was so yummy.  He had a shrimp alfredo which was also good.  He fed me his across the table.  I don’t think anyone has ever did that to me.  It felt so strange eating off his fork, but was fun.

We drove around the campus of his college afterward and he showed me all the dorms that he stayed in.  It was interesting.  I had never been on that Penn State Campus.

I had a great time.  I need to do this way more often.  Way, way more often…

The day leading up to this was pretty good too.  My routes went great.  I was in such a generous mood ha ha.  I gave these Halloween colored pencil things that I bought 2 years ago to the students.  I got more thank you’s for giving something than I ever have.  They were all in there Halloween costumes…well the little kids.  I think the best costume on my bus was a Lemur.  He had a stuffed animal Lemur and he looked so close to the darn thing it wasn’t funny.  He deserved some sort of prize easy.  That made my routes fun and my day seemed to go pretty quick.

20071026_00405a Adam got Kyra for the day after I got a good lick though of course.

I got home from my routes and went to Robin’s for two reasons.  I had to hear about her trip to the Carolina’s and because I was using her curling iron.  I don’t even own one as my hair is beyond curly usually and the last thing I want is more curls.  I just did two curls of my bangs under on the side.  I talked to her for 2 hours before we left and got all the updates on her life.  It is good.

Oh, and as a bonus when I did get home finally from getting Kyra and all that.  I looked at my site here and notices something very strange…well not strange, but considering all the people I am reading about loosing Page Rank.  Woo Hoo mine went up.  I am now a 4 from a 3.  I never really think about PR though too much when writing here, but I am a bit of a fan of it.  I just assume they will give me what they want.  I write for myself mostly and my readers next.  Anyways…that was a great cap on a great night.

The Return to the Shelter…

Today was boring, but not boring at the same time.  Kyra is having slight issues with the location of her vaccination yesterday.  It was swollen all day, but is going down now.  It made her slightly cranky.  I think it itched, but I kept it covered.   I think she hated me by the end of the day.

She locked herself in Adam’s bathroom yesterday, so he flipped out trying to get her to unlock the door.  Today, she was running around the house pretending she was locked in every room of the house.  It has been a bit comical.  He goes in a room and starts banging on the door, saying “Help, Help Me…”  The than opens the door and says “Open Door Me” which is just so comical.

I did my routes.  I am having issues with my high school students, but I don’t know who.  They are leaving notes on the bus…with the elementary kids names on it.  I have all the elementary names on the wall for assigned seats, so say “Bill” and “June” are sitting in one seat.  They are leaving a note on that seat that says something like “June had sex with Bill.”  But, both June and Bill are in like 1st grade and the only word they know on the note are there own names.  I am going to have a talk in the morning, but I honestly have no idea what to say.

20071023_00104p We went to the shelter after my routes with Deuce.  They had to fill out his permanent license paperwork.  All the people that were at the shelter remembered him though, he is doing great though.  I think he liked visiting even, but he sure did jump in the car to leave easy.

20071023_00304p We went to the park after and ate dinner from Arby’s.  The leaves on the trees at the park were perfect.  It was such a nice day.  I am loving all this nice weather.

20071023_00606p While we were eating, my good friend Mary called me and told me that they made it home.  They are truck drivers that go cross country, so when she calls.  I know I probably won’t be able to see her again for a few months, so I jump on the chances.  I was already 1/2 way there, so after we ate.  We went and visited with them.  The dog came along.  He was perfect though.

It was wonderful to see them though.  They said I looked happier which surprises me because I am always pretty happy.  I think I run pretty much level.

We came home though and Kyra went to bed rather quickly.  I am here, but I am not to late tonight.  I’ll be sleeping before I know it.  Have a great night.

22nd October 2007

It was a Funday Monday!

I had a pretty good day, well a great day.  My routes this morning were perfect, I think I even got to sing with the radio for a minute with kids on.  That is rare as I usually turn the radio off because they are misbehaving.  I also usually can’t hear it because my first speaker is by seat 6.  I have to really be jamming to hear it.

I came back and Adam was ready for Kyra.  She had a nurse appointment this morning to get one of her vaccinations.  We went to that, it took all of 10 minutes.  She basically didn’t even wimper, she was tougher than I would have been.  I am like a baby.

I went and did my Circuit City job.  Amazing.. I am done for the week.  It has been like 3 weeks since I only went to the store once.  I went and serviced Sears as well while I was in town.  I am all done with my one job for the week, which is pretty unusual.

I bought hair dye, my grey is getting annoying.  (I am too young to already have grey.)  I had plenty of time for that, so dyed it before my afternoon routes.  It turned out good, but darker than I would have liked.  I’ll do better next time.  I’ll show it to you some other time.

I did my afternoon routes a surprising number of kids noticed and complimented my hair.  I have some amazing kids anyways…  They were really good this afternoon though too.  I left the radio on.  They like it on.

20071022_00805p I came home and was ready to go 4-wheeling with my new sort of boyfriend.  Yes, I am moving on from Adam. We are not getting back together like I have said before and some people keep asking.  Neither of us wants to, we are both liking our lives better separate as crazy as that sounds.  Anyways,  I have been seeing this guy for a little over a week, so here is the coming out.  You can even see his photo…nobody escapes my lens, you know.

20071022_00505p We were 4 wheeling though and it was very fun.  I drove about 1/3 of the way back.  We stopped and I took photos of the fall leaves about 10 times.  It was a beautiful night.  I didn’t even need my sweatshirt it is so nice.  I love the fall.  It is easily my favorite time of year.

20071022_00705p We loaded the 4 wheeler in the truck and came back, of course.  I basically got home and got Stan jumped in the car and went to get Kyra.  I was a few minutes late picking her up, but it was okay.  I think she had fun with her dad today.

20071022_00905p She fell asleep on the way home and is still out.  I am about to take the dog out and go to bed myself.  It was a really fun day though.  I hope every Monday will become this fun.  Good Night…

Look Down My Pants…

I am out of clothes, which is fine.  It is just because I was behind on laundry. (I did 4 loads today though, so have lots of clothes for tomorrow.)  This however made me get creative with my dressing and search for clothes that I like, but don’t wear all the time.  I have some dressy type clothes that are like brand new…I hate them.  You can’t pay me to wear them.  Anyways…that is beside the point.

I found a whole pile of my pants from before I had Kyra, my pre-pregnancy pants if you will.  The ones that most women dream of fitting back into.  Those pants…

20071017_00112p Here look at the photo!!  Yes, you are looking down my pants and  yes, I am at least 6 inches smaller than my pre-pregnancy pants.  I am trying to loose weight though still…this photo makes me smile for now though.

I Lied All Day Long…

Yes, you heard it right. I lied. I had dinner plans with a male friend of mine and I told everyone I was going with lady friends. It was so refreshing though to have normal adult conversation, that I can’t lie on here. This means that some of the people I lied to will know I was lying. Aaahhh! You caught me.

Anyways, Adam had Kyra today. That makes the daytime part rather dull. I do always find myself looking over my shoulder waiting for Kyra to come running around the corner even though I know she isn’t there. It is sort of strange that I live like she is there even when she isn’t.

I went to Circuit City and talked to the manager about my displays. I basically went all the way there for nothing as neither of my displays had come in yet. I hope they come this next week as they both look like fun to set.

I went to Kohl’s and bought a new shirt for my dinner tonight. I don’t have anything hardly at all dressy. Well, not I don’t have anything hardly at all. I don’t have anything at all. I am a casual all the way girl. The last time I wore a dressy type shirt was before Kyra was born and I was different sizes. My pants size is down and my shirt size is up…how strange, but true.

Anyways, this lady named Roxanne helped me it was pretty fun as she was a true clothing lover and I tried on more shirts than you can think of and they all looked pretty nice actually. I learned a whole lot about what I like versus what I don’t like. I like V necks and not square or rounded ones…who knew.

I learned why you should try things on first, I never usually do that. I will in the future. I think I avoided some terrible choices by actually testing them out.

I went to PetSmart too. I got some chew things for the dog, he desperately needs them or we won’t have a baby doll left. We got this really big one and Stan bet it would last the weekend. He was wrong, it lasted less than an hour, so next time I go buy chew things, he is buying. LOL…

I did my afternoon routes about 1/2 my kids weren’t on. I guess there is a football game coming to town and as usual my kids are the “in” ones and are planning attendance. That made everything run a little early. I only had one parent not out though and I called her and she met me up at my next intersection to get her little guy.

I came home and seeming walked the dog all the way until it was time to get ready. I had showered and all that during the morning. My hair takes like hours to dry, so I basically changed my clothes is all. I had a few scratches on my face, so I put some concealer on too, but not enough to cover my perpetual blush though.

Oh yeah and I put my contacts in…I haven’t worn them in a long time because they usually end up hurting my eyes. I need to visit the eye doctor…anyways. They didn’t though, so I was good to go.

I did all the things nice, was polite, smiled all that good stuff. I had a small steak. It was very good too. It was nice like I said refreshing to talk and just eat without the distractions of normalness. I ended the night with a hug, we were just going as friends that was clear before we went.

I am going to go as friends with anyone who wants to buy me dinner, I think. Why not, right??

Anyways, I left there and directly went and got Kyra. It is always wonderful when I pick her up, I get the best kisses at this time when I get her.

I didn’t take a single photo today…what is going on with me??

Now it is time for bed, so off I go. Good Night…
