Pampered Chef…

One of the other drivers in my district works part-time as a Pampered Chef consultant.  Well, her name is Lyn Hershey.  She is one of my good friends as far as the drivers go.  I am one that actually don’t talk to that many of the other drivers because my route times don’t allow and because I am always with Kyra.  I won’t walk around to much to talk because Kyra is almost always sleep in my bus.  Lyn comes to me and makes a point of it, which is always nice.

Anyways, anyways…she is a pampered chef consultant and she asked me to tell you all her website if you are interested in some of the pampered chef product line.  It is www.pamperedchef.biz/lynhershey.

I have ordered a few products from them, but haven’t gotten them yet.  I ordered a crinkled french fry cutter and an apple corer.  I won’t use the corer anytime soon, but the french fry cutter maybe just the thing to get me back to making my own fries around here.  I am hoping it will work with sweet potatoes because Stan can’t really eat the white ones with his diabetes.

Anyways, go check it out and tell her that I sent you.  She will like that…LOL.

I did it, I went PINK…

pink October is breast cancer awareness month.  My grandma had breast cancer, she is in remission though thankfully it was caught early.

I am not willing to change my theme here.  I like to orange and green too much…but I changed the top to pink temporarily for this month.  It is breast cancer awareness month and what better way to promote the fight against breast cancer than to mess up the color scheme of my site.

It could be worse though, pink is a cool color.

There is a whole site dedicated to why you are seeing pink all over the internet this month, so go visit it and let me know how breast cancer has affected you?  Do you like the pink??

Foreign Language Instruction

A new teacher starts out in China.  The man over at Wuhan, got you all in check is just that a new teacher.  He isn’t just any teacher though, he is the English teacher.  Yes, that is right he teaches English to Chinese speaking kids in 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades.

I think his job is an exceptional one and one that would be such a challenge, but so fun as well.

It makes me wonder though why aren’t we teaching our students foreign language in the 2nd grade.  It is such a good skill to have…

Link Referral Review…

I know this is my description of my site in Link Referral.

This is the story of my life. I like pictures, so there is quite a few. It is just a boring simple life.

So, I usually get reviews that mention that my life isn’t that boring and such.  They are great basically.  I love getting criticism too, don’t get me wrong.  Suggestions for improvements to this site has helped make it what it is today.

Today though, I got this review. (I left the spelling errors all intact.)

ok really boaring….but here comes the help. say some thing in 5 seconds to let some one ready to hear you for next one minute.and within that golden one minute make the person ready to listen you next 5 minutes…if you develope this guts.belive me 2 minutes are more then enough to sell an airoplane. your site is ok,not professional, but you can do better than that.wish you a good luck..

Anyways, it is making me feel really boring now and like I talk to much.  LOL…

Here check out the site that belongs to this person.  This is some great animation of some people that are even more boring than me though.  They never move there feet only wiggle around a little.  LOL…  It is pretty cool though. I don’t think the person who typed my review did the design, do you??

Hungry Children…

They are our children is a charity site that everyone should read.  I used to sponsor one of these kids in a foreign country.  It was a pretty good program except they only allowed the kid to write to you twice a year and encouraged you to write and give more money all the time.

That was the reason I stopped and now I concentrate my charity on kids from my bus that need help.  I have some very poor kids and others whose parents aren’t worth anything.  I have given away jackets, back packs, and quite a few salon appointments.  When I do these larger gift, I never do it in front of other students.  I also always have a bag of goodies on my bus and when I see a good deed, pencils and erasers or whatever happens to be in that bag are given away right in front of the other students.

Non-profit is though a very hard business to be in with the moral and ethical expectations as well as the constant fund raising.  Most non-profit does not sell a product, so having an income is the largest source of expenditures.  I applaud the owner of this site They Are Our Children for her work with making the non-profits within children aid category recognized.

I also wanted to point out her other very different sites. For All Your Blogs is a site where she tries to share what she has learned about blogging as she goes.  Finally her last site is called Your Music, Your Way which is a site used to promote local bands.

These are all 3 fairly new sites, but I thought I would tell you about them to be in the look out.  These are some good up and coming sites.

WP-Backlinks…

I wanted to also tell everyone.  I added this plug-in WP-Backlinks to my site.  I found out about it over at Blogging Tips

I think it looks interesting, so we will see how it works. It is on the bottom left of my sidebar now, so if you already have links to me on your site.  You should add your link in there and your link will rotate through on all my pages.

I didn’t put it up top because the top links are paid for links. I also think the widget sort of looks funny in my design, so I will have to work on that sometime.

Anyways, a free link back offer is there.  Give it a go….

July writing group.  I have been and read at least 1/2 of these entries and there are some amazing ones, so I though I would include them all here too.  So my readers can go check them out.

I haven’t had much participation in my new Blog Carnival, but I will post all that I have on that tomorrow…so if these writers are interested.  It is short notice, but I am going to delay posting my few listings until late tomorrow.

Thanks MamaBlogga for the great subject matter.  I think everyone’s take on it was very unique.  I will definitely do this again.
