Yesterday was very interesting. We just seemed to play almost all day. We took a nice walk while the dew was still wet.
I got hooked into watching the America’s Next Top Model Marathon on TV. I like those marathons where you don’t have to wait 12 weeks for the ultimate results. This was the year that the model Eva won the honors. I felt like the other girl should have got it though, so I hope they are both successful with looking great now.
We went out to dinner with Tom and his mom at Green Village Diner. It was very good. I had broiled fish which was very good. I like this restaurant though because everyone that eats there gets a little scoop of ice cream for dessert and that part was great. Kyra thought so too.
We came home played more and than Kyra fell asleep. That’s when I got to my computer. I did quite a bit of work and then went to bed myself at about 11:30, so late for me.
Here is another old picture from Adam’s albums. This is Adam’s mom. She passed when he was 16, so I thought I would put this on here too.
Bye…

Tonight, I am going to share with everyone out there. Recently, we received a pile of photo albums from some of Adam’s relatives which had pictures of Adam when he was about Kyra’s age and well all through his childhood really. I picked a few of them and am going to share them with you….isn’t that special!!
Adam is the brother to the right doing that strange position in this first one. That is his twin brother Andy to the left.
Adam grew up pretty poor, not hungry or anything. They just used all there money on bills and with 4 boys…well you get it. This is them dressed as paperbags for Halloween. I don’t think Kyra will be getting this costume makeover in her life.
Aaaawwww, Isn’t this one cute? You can see Kyra in this one at least I can…
This is the one that makes me smile the most of the whole albums. Have you seen Kyra in a rain hat lately? Well, I see her in it almost daily and now I know that it is heredity. I have been told that Adam really liked this hat when he was a young boy.
There you have it…aren’t I generous today.

Memory lane is sometimes fun. This day is probably in the my top 10 of funniest days of my life.
I don’t know what I did all day 10 years ago, but at about super time. I went to Adam’s house unannounced.
We had known each other since we were kids, we rode the same school bus and lived about a mile from each other as kids. I had moved though and he was still at the same place.
So, I was here to get the answer to the burning question. “Why??” and I was so mad from being so sad the night before. I can be rather bitchy at times and I was planning this to be one of those times.
So…I go to the door knock. I hear “Come In” although Adam swears he said “Hold On”…. so in I go. I stand there for about 30 seconds and then like lightening out of the bathroom from a shower in only tighty-whitey’s Adam goes running to his room. I think I was in complete shock as anyone would have been.
I think I had to at least stood there a full minute just wondering what had just happened.
After that I just started laughing. It was the funniest thing I ever saw….I am cracking up as I write this. He will never live it down nor the missed date from the night prior.
Oh, I was still mad at him and he heard about it. However, you can probably say some tighty whitey’s saved our marriage before it even was though.

Today it has been 10 years since Adam stood me up for our first date. This is a pretty memorable day in my mind almost like it just happened.
I felt like an idiot sitting at the dance club not knowing a soul and waiting for this strange man to come.
I ended up dancing with ladies that worked at the farm supply store. I think they just felt sorry for me though. I waited from 8 o’clock the set time to meet until 11 o’clock. I went home crying almost the whole way.
Adam’s side of this story is that he was at work and they made him work a double shift. He didn’t know a phone number to call to cancel and didn’t think I would go anyways.
Yeah, he thought it was okay to stand me up because he thought I was going to stand him up. He still says it wasn’t his fault to this day…amazing he is.
Can you believe we made it 10 years together with this start? LOL…
*Tomorrow – 10 years ago was memorable too, but I write about that tomorrow.
