Just Simply Jennifer!

Questions:

1. What is the most useful gift you’ve ever been given?
2. Name the most terrifying moment of your life so far.
3. One hot summer afternoon, while walking through a parking lot at a large shopping center, you notice a dog suffering badly from the heat inside a locked car. What would you do?

Answers:

1. I have been given a lot of useful dishes, but I have to say probably the best was getting dishes from my brother.  When Adam left he took at the dishes no not complaining.  He deserved them.  I just didn’t have many and Jason came down with a big box of really nice dishes.  It was really nice.  We still use those dishes now although they seem to chip easily.  I have added to them.
2. I don’t know….I have had a lot of scary moments.  I try to forget them.
3. Go into the store and have them make an announcement that the car owner left there lights on or something like that to get them out… I probably wouldn’t confront them though.  I am a woose about this type of stuff.  I think it is terrible though that some people do this.  Man, my dog is so spoiled….

Manic Monday has been going on so long.  All that time I stopped posting…they were still going strong.  Here is where you can find them ever single week.

1. How did you celebrate your last birthday?

Answers:

1. Under the pavilion in my yard with Corey.  It is close to her birthday too.  We had cake and I think I drank peach something a drink with them.  They were excited to see my drink…
2. A donut.  Does that count??  I had one for lunch today.
3. I would have liked me.  I am easy to get along with and don’t have that what has happened to kids attitude that I hate in so many other adults.

1. What do you order when you eat Chinese food?

Answers:

1. Sesame Chicken - not spicy.
2. I would say it is 50% in my control.  I mostly float along though.
3. My very own, it is a personal choice.

Answers:

1. I just simply have a serious personality.  I am not a big joker.  When I tell a joke more often than not, I didn’t know it was a joke.  I know that is hard to believe, but that is the truth.  People that know me think I am funny though, but my funny is basically honesty.  There is a segment of jokes that I do not find funny a lot of these are the ones that fall in the just plain "duh" category.
2. Happy simple minded person, well being a genius is torture all by itself.  Believe me!!  Oh, yeah… Why?  I would rather be happy anyday over tortured and I don’t believe anyone who says otherwise.  Ignorance is bliss.
3. Research how many aspirin it takes to overdose and how many sleeping pills it takes to get to sleep easy enough to not feel the death part.  Do you think this type of research is available??  I glad to not have any friends that I know of as dying at this point.  My life is sort of all with living and rather on the healthy side, thankfully.

1. If you could have a servant come to your house every day for one hour, what would you have them do?
2. Has your life ever been changed by an apparently random occurrence?
3. You’re having dinner with several friends and acquaintances. They all criticize a close friend of yours (not knowing he/she is a friend). The criticism is unjustified. What would you do?

Answer:

1. This is easy.  Clean.
2. Yeah, several times but I can’t think of most of them now.  Random things have changed my life totally though, like when I was discharged from the Army instead of staying 4 years I was out in 1.  Very different out here.  One day, I was never going to be a parent and then within a week found out Kyra was on her way.  Changed my life that did…ha.  I now take all the punches as they come.
3. Defend my friend over acquaintances, easy that would be.  I would question my friends on why they were saying these things though.  I am very defensive of my close friends even with warranted criticism.  This is probably why I don’t have a ton of friends though and why I have so few female friends.  Nothing against females, but we seem a more sensitive group. 

Manic Monday this week.

1. If you had to be named after one of the 50 states, which would it be?

3. What is the sickest you’ve ever been?

Answers:

1. Oh, why am I thinking of “Idaho”, well maybe that isn’t bad if  you shorten it to just “Ida”, “Alaska” aaaahhhhh!, Missouri, what??  Oh, lets get serious, Mississippi??  Here is all, I have to say about this.  Thanks Mom!!!  I was named Jennifer after a character on the soap opera “Guiding Light”.  Thanks mom for not naming me Californification or something like that….aahhhh!
2. I got straight to Robin usually.  Robin is my next door neighbor whom I love to pieces and who will tell it to me straight.
3. I was the sickest when I had my appendicitis.  I was in the hospital for over 3 weeks as it erupted.  That was when I was in the 4th grade.

1. Which sex do you think has it easier in our culture? Have you ever wished you were the opposite sex?
2. What books from your childhood would you like to share with your children?
3. What is one talent or skill you don’t possess but always wanted?

Answers:

1. I have wished I was a man before, but I don’t now.  I have grown to love being female, but I do have a lot of masculine tendencies in me.  Those are here to stay.  I don’t think either sex has it particularly easier than the other, but women get away with more.  So, if I had to choose, I would say women have it easier.
2. I have never been a big reader, so I honestly can’t remember the books from when I was a kid.  I know my parents did probably read to me, so it isn’t them.
3. I would like some artistic skills, like being able to draw more than stick figures.  I so love the arts.

Answers:

1. Bread - I hate buying bread every time.  I never use the whole loaf.  I really should find someone else to go in on buying bread with me.  Split a loaf or something, seems a shame to waste 1/2 each time I get one.
2. Why does Brittany Spears act the way she does??
3. You don’t, love is always in disguise.  If you think you got it, you probably don’t.

1. What is your idea of a perfect romantic evening?

3. What’s something that people do in traffic that really bothers you?

Answers:

1. Dinner somewhere nice… Slow Dancing alone in front of the stereo… Maybe Candles… Lots of Kissing… not sure you want to know anymore details here.
2. Bobsledding, you know it.  I love watching them and imagine it would be just so much fun.  I would probably not win though.  LOL…
3. I am not a road rager, pretty simply.  I actually don’t mind bad behavior because I am sure that at one time I have done anything that is ever done to me.  I honestly believe that most bad behavior in driving is done on accident and not purposeful.  So generally, I don’t like those crazy horn honks and just being aggressive towards other drivers.  It is just crazy.

1. For the holidays, are you a last-minute shopper or do you shop well ahead of time?
2. If you had to pick a new first name for yourself, what name would you choose?
3. What’s worse,having expectations that are too high, or having no expectations at all?

Answers:

1. Funny, this should be today’s question.  I will be finishing my very last required Christmas purchase today this very Manic Monday.  So, I guess I am ahead of time.
2. Ann, maybe.  I don’t know.  I do know it would have to be a nice short name.  I am getting to like Jennifer more and more though as I get older.  Please don’t call me Jenny though, I hate that.  Yeah, even when my gram does it.  Aaaahhhh!
3. I guess both can be a drag.  I tend to set mine too high and then am put down.  I always tend to have some sort of expectation though, sometimes it seems it would be good to just not have any.
