Live For Weekends!

I am just realizing my life is totally boring on weekdays.  I wake up, get in shower usually, get on computer an hour.  Kyra wakes up.  I either make her breakfast or not depending on if she going to her dad’s that day.  Get ready for work and we are off…

Work all day.  My work is exciting at times, but for the most part very dull to the onlooker.  I type and do paperwork all day almost fruitlessly.  Randomly calling someone or hugging someone who just hit a deer.  I listen the the crazy stories of the lives of my customers.  I am the person that knows a lot about them, but they hardly notice that I do.  I see them once a month for the most part, try my hardest to remember every name.

It is funny because I remember working so hard at remembering the kids on my school bus names too.  It is ironic how similar these completely different jobs are in the details.

I get home from work, I used to always have to cook something.  Now, Stephen is already home, so I either cook, help cook or eat what Stephen has cooked.  Play with the dogs, read with Kyra, Kyra gets a bath, watch Curious George and go to bed.

That is a typical work day right there.

composite triple beatonline casinoWeekends though, they rock.  We change everything up.

This past weekend on Saturday we went to a rock show in the morning.  It was raining, so we didn’t go to fall festival like we had planned.  We came home and worked on sorting toys.  I am cleaning out Kyra’s baby toys so we have room for new bigger kid toys at Christmas time.  We cleaned for quite a bit on Saturday.  In the evening, Kyra went to play with Hannah and Gage and Stephen and I went out to a band.

It was really fun. Brad came out from Philly.  It is good to be back with my friends.

Sunday, we went shopping.  Stephen got 2 new cell phones.  Yeah, weird I know.  His Verizon one died and it was under warranty, so he got a new one from them.  I hope to sell that one on ebay and make the money that he spent on the other one.  He then got onto my AT&T plan, so it would save us some money.  I think that instead of spending like $160 a month we should save about $40 a month by being on the same plan.

We ate out at Bonanza where Kyra is free.  Free is really a draw for that place, but they really do get ripped off.  Kyra eats more than I do usually.  I guess I paid $10, so they make out in the end.

Anyways, that is my typical day and my last weekend.  It is all a really great life.  I am so happy to be me.  I am one of those people that don’t envy others who loves being right where I am at right at this minute.  It is truly great.  I used to not be at this place mentally and this is truly way better.

Haunting, Family, Restful, Beachy Weekend…

Well, this was another exciting weekend gone by.  Friday night, Stephen and I went to the haunted house in town.  Yeah, that is correct Stephen and I.  It was really quite cool.  I wasn’t real scared, but all the details in the house were pretty great.  They put a lot of effort into it having some great cobwebs.

After the haunted house we went and got Kyra from her dad.

I ended up staying up really late.

_DSC1145 Saturday, my grandmother, aunt, and 2 cousins came to visit.  Everyone says I look like my aunt Janice, I don’t agree but with this photo somehow I do see where they get it.  I never used to have a clue what people were talking about.

_DSC1139 _DSC1140 Kyra played with her cousins a little bit.

They didn’t stay very long.  It was a good visit though.

After they left we went to Tarin’s to discuss Stephen and I and to play with Hannah and Gage.  Stephen and I still weren’t back together…

I was at Tarin’s, Kyra was playing.  Tarin had to cook like a million pounds of stuffing (really she had 3 crates of stuffing) for a charity dinner event thing, so we were in her kitchen.  I laid on the floor talking to her and bam.  I fell asleep, goodness…. they let me sleep right there on the floor for 2 hours.  LOL…

I woke up well rested.  I went and chased and caught all her loose chickens.

We left and went home.  Kyra was playing and I was on my computer nothing unusual.

I wanted to go to Purse before winter came, so Stephen popped up online and I asked him about going to Purse with me.  Well, I had talked about it the night before.  Well, he was like lets go, so our adventure began at 8 or 9 pm from out of the blue.  We are going to the beach.

_DSC1156 We stayed in a Holiday Inn Express somewhere close to Waldorf, MD.  We woke up and went to beach.  The beach is at the end of this long trail through the woods…. The beach was so high tide that there was virtually no beach.  There was no chance of Sharks Teeth findings and it was really cold.  We stayed only a short while.

We than headed to York, to the Nixon center where Geology Weekend was about to end.  That is a pretty neat little museum if you haven’t visited it….everyone should go there once.  More than once though is overkill…unless you like the trails.  The trails are the only thing that really change any.

We left the environmental center and went to a friend of ours who lives in York.  They have a little boy that Kyra likes playing with, so we stayed there until pretty late.  We left and came  home.  Our surprise weekend get away.

We are back together afterwards of course.  We never really had a good reason to be separated as we never really fought.  It is really bizarre to me because it seems like we didn’t even skip a beat.  I always like being with him.  He makes me laugh.  He still does.

Now we are back to deal with things I never dealt with before, that is his parents.  I never really dealt with in-law per say parents, so I am a bit more awkward than I usually am.  I am nervous even though I haven’t seen them again yet.

All in all it was a really great weekend.  I am really happy and my family visit was really nice.

Famous at The Park….

Well, life is busier now that I work all the time if you can’t tell that from the reduced posts.  There you have it.  I feel like I want to get away when I get home from work.  I am on a computer all day…how remarkable though never thought that could happen.

_DSC1094 Kyra is of course perfect, especially when she is asleep as like most kids.  She is a real joy awake though too.  She is so smart, puts things all together.  She asks smart questions and always wants to play.  She helps me cook everything.  She enjoys being able to do things herself…for example today she opened a single serving bag of Oreos.  She makes you laugh because she says I squeeze it and they come right out all the while laughing hysterically like it is the best thing to ever happen.  It gives you a whole new perspective on opening Oreos though that is for sure.

My last week was pretty standard…my weeknights are get home late, cook, play outside an hour, get bath, watch TV, and go to bed.  It is the weekends we live for here.

Hatch We went to the fish hatchery with Tarin and her son.  It was so fun although her son called it boring…blah on him.

butts We had fun taking photos after.  I don’t have many photos of myself because I am always the one taking them, so I got about 5 new ones of me.  Look at that big butt…

Sunday we went to a friends house and picked up some stuff I left there.  We went to the Legion though after and had burgers.  There food is yummy and well for me and Kyra to eat it was less than 8 dollars… I can’t do burgers with the fixings for that price at home.  There was another man and his daughter in there eating, Kyra and her were playing.  I told him we were going to the park after, he was like could we tag along.  I don’t know where the parks are around here.

So…off we went to the park.

When we got there…it was like I knew everyone there.  Laura was there with her kids, so Kyra played with them and I got to talk with them for a bit.  We walked around the trail to the other side and who shows up… Lyn and her kids, so Kyra was playing with them.  It was really cool….all the while I am with this strange guy whom I have no idea even his first name.  It was a bit strange.  LOL….

We went walking around the trail back to the other side of the park, we had been there like 2 hours.  There is Stephen’s gram walking around the trail, so I give her a hug.  She is actually nice to me and hugs me.  I loved her… I miss some of his family a lot.  She would be tops of the list.

The guy I’m with his name is Clark and he owns a body shop in Chambersburg.  He turned out to be pretty nice.  Our girls played pretty good together.

It was none the less an interesting time at the park way more entertaining then my usual chase Kyra which I still got to do of course.

Monday was really good.  I like sleeping in.  I changed my work hours, so I don’t have to get to work until noon.  I got up and cleaned the house for about an hour.  Adam came here to get Kyra and took her to get her almost last vaccination.   I think she has 2 left now.

She went and played at Laura’s today instead of Tom’s house because he was taking Brittany to Pittsburgh.  She did really well though, so everything is all good.  We cooked ham with Pepsi glaze for super.  It actually turned out yum.

Deuce has fleas, again…I swear if I am a day late on that Frontline thing he gets them again.  I think I am going to get some of those disgusting bug bomb things for in my house…. I don’t really like the idea of poison going in the entire air of my house, but I also don’t like the idea that fleas never die.  That maybe something that happens sooner versus later though, we will see.

Have a great time…..

What a GREAT Weekend…

I worked dead tired Friday from going out Thursday.  How I did it no idea….  that nothing though.  Friday, we never even came home.  A bunch of my customers said “Hey!  We going to races, you should come!”

I was like okay, so off me and Kyra went with 3 of my customers.

I never watched the little cars race.  It was a blast.  We ended up being with like 20 people when we got there because the uncle to my one customer was an actual driver and had his whole fan section.  It was great.  Kyra had a blast.

Saturday, we took one of my friends Brad to the apple festival, so we were there like 6 hours.  We watched Indian Dancing.  We ate apples.  We went through there petting zoo area.

Today we went to Walmart.  I got photos printed, so that I can have actual pictures of Kyra in my office.  We went to the park for a few hours.

All and all….it was a really great weekend.

Insurance

I went to training to learn how to tell people about price increase that is coming up.  Darn, it sucks.  There is nothing I really pulled out of the meeting though, which sucks.  I mean I get why the raise is occurring and we do want to be financially stable as a company.  That doesn’t make it great to tell the thousands of people that you are going to get in increase more than usual, in fact more than triple what you would normally see.  There you go….you have it first from me.

If your homeowners go up, just think all your buddies will have there’s going up too.  We are just the first to step out and do it.  I truly believe if you are my customer and you get this increase, you can leave and get cheaper.  If you suck it up though, I believe you will notice that where you would have went price goes way up within the next year or two…. and mine will become more competitive with that.  Possibly even beating that price because we stepped out first…

I sold 2 policies today at work.  I got a lot of work done.

Anyways….  Kyra is doing great.  She spends Thursday with her dad though, so I don’t have much to say here.  She enjoys being with her dad.

Deuce at the Park…

Well, easily Saturday is my favorite day of the week now that I work all week.  It is my time to relax and just be with Kyra.  Today was no exceptional Saturday.  We had a good day though.

I felt bad for Deuce today, I wasn’t real nice to him after he chewed my shoe.  So I have a guilty conscience.  Today we had to go buy some more pizza crust mix because Gage and Hannah were possibly coming to make pizzas with us.  It wasn’t to hot out and stuff, so we loaded Deuce in the car and off we went.

We went to Walmart got out stuff.  It was pretty good…I got in an out of Walmart with less than $10 spent.  Amazing huh??

Deuce is pretty good in the car, he gets nervous though.  I just think he has a lot of nervous tendencies… he loves going though.

We took him to the park and went on the long walk.  We took the short lease and the long lease, so both Kyra and I walked him around the trail.  He did really well.  He is out asleep on his chair already tonight, so he must be tired.

Kyra did good.  She is such an amazing kid.  She loves walking Deuce.  Every person that walked by us, she told them she has one dog and his name is Deuce.  I think everyone that heard her got a big smile.  A couple told her about there dogs which was kind of cool.

We came home and cooked vegetables, more of the potatoes from the garden.  Oh, they are so good….  Kyra just had a hot dog for super with the vegetables.  It was a good night.  We drew, painted, read stories, jumped on bed, played blocks, played in sand outside.  We cleaned the porch off.  I ran the vacuum, but you can’t tell.  She is laying on the bed watching Sesame Street right now, occasionally she will say “Hey Mom, I want to do that”.  I say “OK” and that is that.  We have lots of things to do though.

Hannah and Gage put off the pizza until tomorrow…I think they are a bit nervous with Deuce.  I hope they will get over it though as he sleeps in with Kyra and me.  I think they would have fun here and it would give there parents a night out.  Parents need nights out…..I know I do.  It helps put into perspective the times I have with Kyra and keeps me grounded even though that seems opposite of what you would think.  That night off and that night of missing Kyra keeps me from getting complacent or whatever that word is.  I appreciate my time having her more I think.

Anyways, today was a great day.  We had a lot of fun.  Tomorrow is looking to be a really fun day too….maybe we will clean some more.  However, laundry is all done here.  Good Night…

Fresh Dug Potatoes…

Well, today was a typical day in insurance.  It was not extremely busy, but my phone rang steady all day.  I didn’t sell any policies…which sucks.  I mailed over 60 marketing postcards though and got another 20 ready for tomorrow.

Kyra had a busy day.  She went shopping with Tom at like 4 stores.  She wore her pants inside out all day until she got a bath tonight.

When we got home we dug up fresh potatoes from the garden and cooked them up with a meatloaf.  It was probably my most complete meal in a whole long while.  I tend to lean towards partial meals here as I don’t eat that much.  So tonight we had a whole rounded healthy meal.  The garden potatoes though were definitely a highlight.  They were go yummy.

They were so good.  I think they put Kyra right to sleep.  She was out within 15 minutes of super.  She didn’t even watch Curious George first…she was just out.

Now, I’m on here and also dead tired.  I have left overs though for lunch tomorrow that I will probably actually eat.  Good Night….

Insurance Monday…

Insurance is a really crazy business.  I hate insurance somedays.  I think it is basically good though, don’t get me wrong.  It is something everyone should have and really does help a whole lot of people.  It ticks me off when people complain about just simply it being a requirement.

Well today was generally a great day for me.  I was busy all day with lots of stuff to do and will probably have a great day tomorrow too as I left enough to keep tomorrow interesting.  My filing is getting so behind as well.  I need another 10 hours to catch up for the week.

Today though I got cursed out.  It wasn’t directly at me, but just about insurance.  I was really uncomfortable though because this person was going against a lot of what I believe with insurance.  I was polite though and let him leave.  I even did the count to 10 under your breath thing.  LOL…

I do have some really crazy clients sometimes.  I’ll pass on some of the bizarre things that happen on here sometimes.  I only saw about 4 customers today though, so nothing much happened besides the cursing which happened early in the day.

I came home tonight, cooked super.  Kyra and I played in the sand for about an hour.  We are making a giant dog from sand out there.  It basically looks like an ant hill right now, maybe it will look more dog like soon.  Kyra has a great imagination though and to her it looks like the perfect dog shape.  She was hugging it and telling me to hug the dog.  LOL…

We called and talked to my grandmother on the phone tonight.  Kyra is pretty good on the phone but still thinks the caller can see her, so instead of answering yes, she shakes her head yes and hold up her fingers to say she has 2 of something.  It is sort of comical to watch and know what is going on from this end, while the caller at the other end has no idea what she is doing or saying even though she is very articulate for her age.

Well, that was my day…pretty boring huh?  That is why I sort of disappeared for so long.  My days are now occupied with almost only work.  I don’t do nearly as much playing nor have nearly as much adventure in life as I once did.

September….

September has been a trying month pretty much.  My work has been steady and great though it has sort of held me together a little.  I absolutely love my co-workers even though we are each uniquely different in personality and we would never choose each other as friends, I don’t think without work.  We find commonality in work though and each have a unique take on that even.  Dave is the sales person, all about the sale.  Tarin is sinical, she likes sales.  However don’t think marketing is a ton of mostly fruitless work.  Me, if you haven’t figured it out.  I like sales.  I think our product is as good as it gets for insurance.  I am overtly honest though and sometimes this drives the sales away, but when it doesn’t I think I have a client for the long term.  We will see if that is true though next year.  I am overly through at explaining things going into to much detail sometimes.

Memory Stick 036 My break up with Stephen happened on the 7th.  The month up to that was about as stressful a time as I ever had in my life.  I did something or something changed in his parents either the end of last month like when we went to the corn festival or shortly after…I honestly not sure what happened.  At one point though his parents recommended to him that he break it off we me because we weren’t a good match.  They started to put a lot of pressure on him about it, as if he had to choose me or them.  Honestly it was heartbreaking to me that parents would do this.  I got to watch them rip his heart out and I probably wasn’t helping it.   I mean I get it at the one month point, but we are at the 11 month point….this should be done in my opinion at this point.  Oh well though…. Stephen was extremely torn as anyone would probably be.

When we broke up, it was almost a stress relief for me though.  I would have broke under the pressure of his parents.  It was affecting me.  I was crying a lot and that is very unlike me.

We broke up with him having officially made the break up decision.  He kissed though and he was crying his eyes out.  It was sort of one of those surreal moments in life where you almost don’t believe what is happening.  Oh yeah, and in addition we went out the night before and had like the best time.  I rode the bull at Hot Pointe.  It was so much fun.  We definitely went out on a bang….

We have been text messaging since, so we will end as friends.  I imagine him as always being my friend, but we will see on that.  I definitely love him and part of me always will.

The realistic aspects though…we probably not a great match.  I think we would have worked though stuff though.  He drinks too much.  I would have been annoyed by that at some point and he probably would never admit it.   He also doesn’t like a lot of things and only would go because I dragged him. I think this would have stopped at some point.  I think I need someone that will willingly go to anything, do anything and make huge efforts to have fun.  My interests are very wide….  I can go dancing one night and to the goat show the next.  I love computers and home improvement shows.  Heck, I went to a garden show.  I like nature and bowling.  I wouldn’t mind going to play ping pong or something dumb like that.  I think I can have fun at anything. There is nothing that I totally don’t like.  Stephen probably wouldn’t have enjoyed a lot of these things and when he isn’t enjoying himself….you know. That sometimes annoyed me about being with him.  His interests are so limited.

Kyra has taken all this so great.  She basically understood what I was telling her.  We did walk one day and she wanted to go to Stephen’s house, so we did walk that way.  I told her we couldn’t stop there anymore and she was okay with that.  We just walked by, we walked about a mile.

_DSC1061 We have learned what happens when you put your toys in the oven without telling mom.  This is an ABC game.  It used to be pretty cool and it was helping Kyra learn her alphabet.  It no longer will serve that purpose.

_DSC1070We also practiced taking out own picture together.  I look like a fuzz head.  LOL…  I got my hair straightened right after this photo.  LOL….

Everything is calm again now.  I miss Stephen definitely, but it is calm.  I guess I am relieved that all that stress has been taken off of him. I think he is slightly stressing about if he did the right thing or not, but I can’t help him with that. I do sincerely hope he comes back around as a really great friend, but like I already said time will tell.

I went out to the Hardware Bar this Friday night.  I danced on the bar for the first time.  I always wanted to do that, so I did.  It was fun, it is scary dancing and looking out at all the guys and realizing there are so many more guys than girls in this place.  I met a couple people who will probably turn into long term friends.  I was dancing with some crazy guy, who had so much energy I have no idea how he was jumping like that honestly.  We were dancing though and it turned 2.  It was like he was going to turn back into a pumpkin and he said “gotta go” and literally sprinted out of the place.  I got hit on by a cop, which is weird.  He was like a bodybuilder guy the whole bald just big look going on. He danced, but stiff like.  It was sort of comical.  The band Asking Andy was great.  I knew almost all the songs that they did, which is remarkable for a band honestly because my musical knowledge is a bit lacking.

_DSC1075 _DSC1079 _DSC1087 Saturday we went to park.  We walked a full two miles.  We ate lunch at Wendy’s. We came home and Kyra laid on my belly and fell asleep like she used to do when she was really little.  I sat there holding her for a full 3-hour nap, I wouldn’t trade a minute of that time in to have been doing something else.  Man, do I love this kid.  I am so glad to have her.

Today we went to Henrietta Lake and walked around that two times.  It was pretty fun.  I try to do fun things with her that don’t cost a lot or cost nothing.  My budget is really tight.  I am making it though, all my bills are paid.  That is the important thing and my income can only go up as I will start to get some renewals in 2 months and that will really help me and affect my pay.  I should sell more insurance too, so…I’ll give my work phone number here 717-486-7777 if you are in PA and would like a free quote.  Why not give me a call…. I might save you money and you will be helping us do more fun things.  LOL….  I would like to go to Sesame Street Place here before it is cold for the winter.  I doubt we do that one though.

Like I said before though….I am going to start posting to my site again regularly.  Probably daily again….  I also am trying to get that google warning junk off my site.  I don’t know what originally caused it.  There are no viruses here.  They are in people who commented here’s pages, so I deleted all the past comments.

August….

Well, I am going to get back into writing on my site.  I’ll tell you about August though in one big swoop.  August was over all a great month.  The weather was summery and hot.  It was a beautiful month.

Kyra grew a little during the month.  She is growing in her mind at an alarming rate.  She learns so much now, she is like sticky paper with her mind.  She picks up on so much stuff.

Work was great.  I am getting more and more confident in my insurance knowledge and I feel liked at work.  It makes me very happy.

Stephen and I were together the full month of August…we broke up here in September.  August though was great.

We met with Jason, Missy, and Haley and went camping during one of the weekends in August.  We went to Possum Lake. We went to the Lebanon Rock Show in August.  The Corn Festival is the last weekend of August and Kyra and I went to that with Stephen’s mom.  All those things were great fun.

The whole month just flew by.  Here are some of the photos….  The first 6 are from the camping trip.

If you have watched this site awhile.  You will have seen Kyra sitting in this shopping cart as a baby all the way up.  I think she is almost done being able to sit in it now.

_DSC1023

We learned that playing under the empty pool is just as fun as playing in the water filled pool.  Turtle is a fun game all over the yard.
