Busy Busy…

Today was a strange day that will probably go down in history.  We signed our divorce today, so I will always remember that.

However, we went to the bank got that stuff situated.  We went to the car insurance talked to them, pretty much have it situated, but have to go do the final stuff on Monday.  We went to the lawyer with our agreements as far as everything goes and he is going to put them into a legal contract for us.  We also, like I said signed the divorce.  It isn’t final though for at least 90 days, but when we both go sign it again.

20070725_00110a We went to the courthouse and got an old mortgage taken off the deed which was sort of old business that I had just never done.  The flowers at the center of town were beautiful today.  We went to lunch with Stan at the Chinese Restaurant.

Yeah, I know it is strange to run around with together figuring out the division of your goods.  I think it is much easier though than the fighting way that seems to be the normal.  There are questions flying off to both of us in all these meetings.

20070725_00405p Yeah, than when we got home we went ahead and made it even weirder.  We went to the Community Fair.

20070725_02106p Adam and Kyra were riding on the dizzy cars.  Both look like this is fun though don’t they??  I was getting a little loopy just watching them though.

We came home and Adam went to our neighbors for some drinks with them.  They tell him divorce horror stories like most people seem to have.  I have to say, I don’t think I will be telling those stories.

It has been a day, so I am off to bed.  Good Night…

Strange Occurrence…

I forgot to tell you this yesterday.  It is a bit of a strange occurrence.  My parents called and said they are coming down here tomorrow, so Sunday.  I haven’t spoke to them since December 26, 2005 and this has taken me a little bit of figure out.

Ok, so they are coming to give Kyra her birthday present and I will never keep them away from her.  I told them that on that very last day.  They seen Kyra at a wedding last July and I guess I did say “hi”, but nothing really more.

They however wanted to take her to lunch (just her), but I instantly nixed that idea.  I will go to lunch with if they want, but just Kyra…not a chance.

I instead have got a plan together that hopefully will be fun for them too, but only if they agree to it.  I am being very nice…or trying.  Kyra isn’t really all that fun in a restaurant strapped to a high chair.

I called them back and told them to bring a change of clothing, shorts preferred.

I am going to fix them one of my healthy meals on my grill, very sweetly. Something like pork chops, some vegetables, and who knows…something.  LOL..   Let them color in chalks on my back cement with Kyra, if she will let them.  She really likes coloring, so I think this might open her up slightly.

I will then take them to the park and let them play on the water pad with Kyra.  It is expected to be about 90+ degrees, so that will feel good.

I have figured that since they want to come celebrate Kyra’s birthday, they can do things that Kyra likes to do.  We can make this all about Kyra.  I really don’t want to be included all that much, but am going to go out of my way to try to make Kyra have a good day.

Almost a Grand Car Dealer…

I went to Cumberland Valley Motors Subaru dealer today.  I had an 8:30 appointment, I was there 10 minutes early.  I had a long list of issues with my car including the security system, the air conditioner, the tires, and annual exam.

What I learned was sort of what I expected.  I needed about everything.  They reset the security system and cleaned the connections in my remote lock key chains.

They charged my A/C and found small leaks at the top hoses.  They recommended I not have it repaired as they are so small.  The A/C will leak though over time.

The most disturbing news though was my inspection.  I have had an issue with Highland Tires because twice they didn’t tighten my tires on my car after they worked on it.  I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time I suspected them.  After the second, I will never go back.

Today, I learned that I have been driving around on the wrong rotors for my brake system, so that was the cause of my tire issues as of this visit.

The good news, I passed this new emissions test first try.  LOL…

The bill was $931 and change.

I was there until 12:30.  The shop part was actually not that bad though.  I expected this sort of although not with such a price tag.

Here is the disturbing part.  I was hungry.  My stomach was making loud audible noises and disturbing the others around me.  I decided because I didn’t know when my car was going to be done to go “test drive” a new car in the direction of Arby’s.  (I am a owner of a Subaru with 130+ thousand miles on it.)  I figure they would be more than happy to let me drive a new car seeing me and my car, I am a potential client really.  Although…I admit not a potential client for today, but someday.

I had been here over 3 hours on top of that.  They should have been asking me about a donut or something while I waited.  There were like 6 sales dudes, just standing around without a customer in sight.

They had a lot of gull.  He made me sign some leasing form to go 4 miles up the road.  He told me that they don’t like it when the people in repair take test drives and it is discouraged.  He told me I should be paying rent for this as a rental car and they offer this service.  He also told me he would get in trouble if his boss knew what he was doing….yeah, but I am signing a form here.

I will tell you exactly what he was doing.  He was encouraging me to never ever come back in that sales office.  I felt like a thief when I got in that new car and drove off.  I was the one passing over the dollars, what is going on here?

I am still almost in shock of how the sales staff acted.  It was totally unexpected.

Hospital, Exhausted, Garage Sale…

So I dropped Stan off last night at the hospital, expecting to go get him early this morning.  I came home took a shower and blogged my semi-usual routine.  Well, about 15 minutes after I posted here.  The hospital sleep lab called me and said that Stan had a spell.  Yeah, they called it a spell.  Apparently he got pretty upset and tried to clobber the nurse.  They shackled him and took him up to ER.  He doesn’t remember this…his sugar was 28 though.

I can’t imagine him needing shackled, but I wasn’t there and they don’t know him.  He may have been scared in that he was sleeping and then some stranger was in front of him.  Who knows….

I went down to ER though as the sleep test ended obviously.  I talked to a doctor.  We decided because he is having these sugar issues here at home too.  It was not necessary to admit him.  We reduced his insulin by quite a bit.  He came home with me.

It was about 2 when I got to bed.  I think I slept pretty well, but I know I had this garage sale.  I didn’t want to be irresponsible as my stuff is there for sale.  I got up at 6:45 and went to help set it up and such.  Stan and Kyra came with of course, this was my planned day.

I was exhausted.  I honestly couldn’t function…I am reluctantly admitting this.  Tom and Stan took charge.  I fell out cold sleep on the couch effectively devoiding myself of my garage sale and parenting responsibilities. I slept for at least 3 hours.

I woke up like a new person though.  I actually felt like I had slept.  It is an amazing feeling everyone should feel this.  Kyra was playing out with Tom.  The garage sale traffic was steady for the day, not extravagant and not dead slow.

Lunch time Stan’s sugar dropped again.  He didn’t pass out or act funny though, we just got him more sugar in his system with Chocolate Syrup.  That was probably the first time he has had that in a very long time.  It was the sugariest thing in the fridge though with 20 grams in 2 tablespoons.  Anyways, he has been fine since.  He took his reduced insulin plan this evening and ate really good meal.  I even gave him a small brownie, so he should be good tonight.

Anyways, I made a little over 70 dollars at the garage sale.  My truck driving cooler (a cooler you plug into a cigarette lighter and it continually runs to keep whatever cold) making more than half of my total with one sale as I had it for $40 and wouldn’t be talked down.  It sold… woo hoo.  My dishwasher didn’t sell which was my other big ticket item.  Now, I am going to go the run an ad in the paper route or the sell to the used appliance store people.  Who knows…oh how I wish it would have sold.  It is a portable style which costed about $400 new.  I had it marked $100.  It works perfectly…we had our kitchen remodeled with the new built in version.

I came home slightly before everything was cleaned up, but I only had about 2 boxes of stuff left.  The clothing all going to charity.

I got home and Kyra was acting all weird.  She wasn’t playing like she usually would.  She wanted held and was all loving.  We kissed quite a few times.  LOL… I noticed she was really hot, so I took her temperature.  It was 102.  Aaaaahhhhhh!

She went to sleep for like a nap at slightly later than normal nap time.  She woke up and I let her take a bath in very luke warm water.  She was probably feeling like a polar bear in this water.  It did lower the temperature slightly though.  She seemed slightly better not so loving.

We fed the goats.  She was so cute.  She does the feeding of the cat for me.  She took like 4 things over to the cat dish and the cat was eating away.  I should have had my camera, but she did that part all by herself, usually I help her.  Pretty soon, she will be the whole barn person.  She now does the cat feeding and the goat watering.  LOL…

We came back and ate supper of pork chops and carrots from the grill.  She ate really well.

20070630_00106p She went off playing sort of like nothing was happening wrong at all.  I am still not sure how she got the thermometer, but she took the temperature of all her stuffed animals and dolls.  They all were close to 80, so on the cold side.  LOL…

Kyra’s temperature is still slightly elevated, but not all that high in the 99 range.  She might be getting something more, but I hope the fever gets rid of it.

She went to bed with hardly a fight even after that late nap.  She is sleeping with her butt in the air with her feet all squished up to her belly.  It looks silly, but she is out.

Stan is also asleep.  He now has to reschedule his sleep test and hopefully we get this insulin mess corrected and he can go through a day with level sugar levels.

So, that is my day.  It was a really crazy one.  I now need to sleep tonight because tomorrow holds some promise that I could get some work done.  Monday should be crazy too, so a little extra sleep for me won’t hurt any.

Oh, yeah and the blog exchange is in the morning, so come check out my guest writer from Quarter Rest.  Her post is ready and scheduled to post in the morning, as will mine be on her site.  My post this time is not all that exciting.  I did write it on my new laptop though and at the garage sale yesterday.

Bling, Sex, I Quit, Sweep…

Today was a really strange day as the title sort of implies by it’s strangeness.

Here is Kyra in her gloves and bling to start it off though.

My daily routes went as usual almost.  I had a student 2nd grader tell me in detail about losing his virginity in front of a kindergartener who had no idea what he was talking about.  Yeah, this was fun.  I told my 2nd grader to stop talking about it because other students didn’t know what he was talking about and that I would talk to him at school.  It sort of worked.  He changed the subject to unborn twins, yeah all about them kicking and what not in the stomach of there mother.  Yeah, my 5 year olds still sort of sat there all innocent.  I love 5 year olds.

So we got to school and it let them off and told my 2nd grader I would be back and I was, I delivered the kids to the other school and went back.

I told the principal what was going on and that we needed to speak with this student, so now instead of being concerned that a 2nd grader has lost his virginity and needs to talk.  The principal is only concerned that parents of other students might call and think this topic is inappropriate and blah blah blah.  Which it is inappropriate on a bus, thus the whole point of why I am standing in the school at this very minute. He wants to be able to say that this 2nd grader was disciplined, yeah that is right, kicked off the bus for wanting some advice at an inappropriate time.

So, I ask.  How does a kid know when is an appropriate time to talk about sex and why was this particular kid claiming to have had sex?

I never got to talk to the kid although I did see him.  The principal basically just cut him down to pieces for talking like this on the bus without a word of why or anything.  I left the school almost in tears for this boy.

The rest of my day and afternoon routes went normal.  This boy wasn’t on the bus, but I don’t think he would have been anyways, he doesn’t ride a lot of afternoons.

I got home and got this strange memo from Team Double Click that they were going to start implementing a 25 dollar fine if you turn in your paperwork late, so I am almost always late with my paperwork on Sunday because I sleep in.  (Yeah, my only day to sleep in.  I do it and than eat breakfast and then usually do this paperwork.)  Well, the messed up thing is they won’t pay us for the time it takes to do this paperwork, so this is really my time and not there time.  So I quit today.  I can get a web design or blog customer on my own and make that much money.  Yeah, I made very little anyways.

I did say I would work a 2 week notice if they would like me too, but no fines for late paperwork.  LOL….

After that, I had a Sears job.  I went and did at the mall with Adam.  We went to dinner too.  Adam thinks it is great that I quit that job.  He was hating it for some reason.  LOL…  So, I did my boring mall job.  It took about 20 minutes.  I have to take pictures while doing it, so I had my camera at the mall.  This is Kyra at the toy beach set at the toy store.

We also have been in need to a new vacuum as our’s stinks, quite literally.  It is like a mouse died in it or something…blah.  So I broke down looking at the vacuum section.  Here is Adam with his new “super sucker”.  It is a Dyson, the middle priced one with the long sucking extension.  He is going to love it, hopefully for many years.

We came home and here I am typing away.  I should be in bed…so night.

Search Engine Terms…

Ok, so I am looking at some of the search engine words people are using to get to my site maybe you will enjoy some of these too (People really search these phrases, almost impossible to believe.):

  • what can i do with my life cause i am tired of sitting here
  • why does rice crispies crackle when the milk enters the bowl
  • marijuana rice krispie treats how will i feel
  • fluffy hair
  • japanese boobs full of milk

Imagine the disappointment when these people landed here?  LOL….

A better question is though, how did the search engines decide I matches these terms?  I don’t think some of these words show up even once in here….like marijuana.  I don’t think I have ever spoke of it at least I don’t remember it.

I Love Baths….

We are having issues with a slow drain.  I think all my hair is in there slowing it down a bit.  Well, yesterday shortly after Kyra got out of the bath and after she was fully dressed, this is what she did.

New Cellphone Storage Area…

I searched my house for my cell phone.  Kyra has a way of making it disappear quite often, so now after I let her use it.  I try to always find it and put it away from her.

So yes, I found the cell phone.  It was in a totally unexpected place.

She didn’t pee on it though luckily, Adam would have killed me if I needed a new phone again.  (I have had this one a little over a week now.)

Anyways, that was fun.

Flies…

Is this happening to anyone else? They are everywhere.. it is the strangest thing. It is 8 degrees outside and my house is full of flies. A friend of mine says they lay eggs in the window sills and that the mild winter has let them hatch early. Ahhh….I am going to kill something. Yes, the flies…they are on there way out of this world tonight buzzing around my head worse than mid-summer nights. Bye…

School Delay…

Yesterday, started off as one of the worst days in a whole long time. Only…I didn’t know it until after it got started about an hour. I went to do my route like usual and low and behold. There are no kids out ready to get on the bus. Oh, this is sucking… yeah. I made it 4 stops before calling my boss and saying is there no school or something?? That’s right here in “Southern” PA they delay school 2 hours for 1/2 inch of snow. That is right….only half an inch. Who would have thought?? The roads well they were clean. I know I was out driving around.

This just made my day all messed up. I was so busy from there and not getting home until 11 from driving that I felt rushed the rest of the day. It really sucked.

Well, it is morning now and today school is not delayed (I checked.), so today should be better. I got some pictures and other stuff to post later, but I gotta get going. Bye..
