How Old I Act… I agree!!

I took this How Old Do You Act test that I found over at What If This Is As Good As It Gets! It said she acted younger than her age too, maybe that why I like her.  LOL…

You Act Like You Are 21 Years Old
You are a twenty something at heart. You feel like an adult, and you’re optimistic about life.
You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences.

You’re still figuring out your place in the world and how you want your life to shape up.
The world is full of possibilities, and you can’t wait to explore many of them.

Manic Monday - Tuesday January 29

manic-monday Lisa brings you Manic Monday every week.  If you participate, most weeks sometime in that week.  I go visit your posting, this week is no exception because I really enjoy reading all of them.  Here is my late entry.

Questions:

  1. If you could have a servant come to your house every day for one hour, what would you have them do?
  2. Has your life ever been changed by an apparently random occurrence?
  3. You’re having dinner with several friends and acquaintances. They all criticize a close friend of yours (not knowing he/she is a friend). The criticism is unjustified. What would you do?

Answer:

  1. This is easy.  Clean.
  2. Yeah, several times but I can’t think of most of them now.  Random things have changed my life totally though, like when I was discharged from the Army instead of staying 4 years I was out in 1.  Very different out here.  One day, I was never going to be a parent and then within a week found out Kyra was on her way.  Changed my life that did…ha.  I now take all the punches as they come.
  3. Defend my friend over acquaintances, easy that would be.  I would question my friends on why they were saying these things though.  I am very defensive of my close friends even with warranted criticism.  This is probably why I don’t have a ton of friends though and why I have so few female friends.  Nothing against females, but we seem a more sensitive group.

Philadelphia Trip…

I don’t have the photos I promised.  I got some cell phone pictures of Marilyn, but the camera stayed in the car.  Why you probably ask?  My camera weighs over 2 lbs first off and secondly we weren’t in an area I felt comfortable just carrying it around.

The concert was really fun.  The audience is crazy though.  I never been to a concert where everyone was fighting to get to the front like they were here.  They made it suck somewhat because you had to be paying attention to the people around you or you would be slammed into this wall that we were next too.  It made you not fully concentrate on the concert which is what I was there to do.  He is a great artist though and it was really fun.

If I would go again, I would get seats upstairs where it looked much calmer.  I might just be woosey though because those ladies that were riding on top of the crowd and ultimately landed on there heads did get up smiling almost every time from what I could see.

It was fun though.  When we got out all the taxi’s were gone or not there yet, we had planned on taking a taxi.   We just walked to where we were going though amazing that we found it.  It was 15 blocks.  Yeah that is 15 blocks for us in short sleeve shirts, late at night, in January in Philadelphia. Philadelphia at a place we both had only been to one time.  Stephen had never been to Philadelphia at all ever before.   We were freezing.  LOL…  It was fun though.  LOL…

I had thought we were going to go to traditional tourist places, like the liberty bell and stuff like that.  We ended up not doing anything that I thought we would.  We were staying with Stephen’s best friend all through high school and he got off early from work to show us around.

That was very very cool, so all day Monday instead of touring lost.  We sort of had a guide.  Well, we did a self guided tour for the morning, we walked and walked and walked.  Than we found our way back amazingly without a taxi.  We were in a mall, a few art and theatre places like the Kimmel Center.  When they got to our guided tour, we went a different direction to a different mall, a 2 story Staples, we ate at Olive Garden.  We got cocoa at this place called Naked Chocolate, which this was essentially expensive chocolate melted in a cup to drink.  It was so rich.  LOL…  I think I walked a few miles that day.  My feet are still slightly sore.

We left there at like 7 pm and were home at like 10:30 after picking up Kyra.  I went straight to bed basically.  Kyra was sleep before we got here of course.

Situation Sunday - January 28th

Situation Sunday is brought to you from Philadelphia by Helena.

Situation #1
You spouse/friend/SO has came home and told you that “We need to move by the morrow. They have just lost the house and all of your savings in a gambling adventure. Pooled together you both together have $50. { Your choice now…you either have kids or you don’t} How are you going to handle?

Someone will die. So no bothers with moving out, jail time would be in order.

Situation #2
You are cleaning the house. Making the bed and you decide to flip the mattress. Under your significant others side you see some photo’s. It is of them with a co-worker {same sex } taken as a couple in the most sexual positions you have ever seen. What do you do…how are you going to handle this?

I would laugh, but I don’t think I would be in that relationship for much longer. I like eleclusiveness with these types of things.

Situation #3
You have a 7 year old child that rides the school bus to and from school. They get off the bus last. They have have come home one night and told you the bus driver let them swing on the handles before the stairs, and received a quarter every time they swung past the driver and he got to tickle them. {This has happened to me} The bus driver and the grown-ups get together a few times a month and play cards. How do you handle this and what do you do?

Um…this is terrible. I don’t think that my kid would be riding the bus much longer in this case. I would talk to the school about it as well try to get the route changed so that in the future my kid could be toward the beginning because of this situation.

Concert, Mini Vacation, Second Interview…

Well, I am going to be ignoring my site for the next few days.  I am going to the Marilyn Manson concert in Philadelphia tomorrow night.  We are spending the night, so away for the night.  We are than going to tour around Philly all day Monday.  We have a full itinerary.  It is going to be so fun.

I have the substitute driver all lined up, everything is ready for her.

I come back, get Kyra, and Tuesday, I have a second interview at the tech support job that I had the first interview this last week.  I am hoping that I really get this job now.  I really don’t have money enough to be going off to Philly, but I am going anyways.

It bothers me to allow Stephen to buy everything for me too.  He keeps telling me to quit worrying and blah blah blah, but I still do.  I try to sneak in buying things for him to make myself feel better, like I bought our concert tickets.  It is all sort of crazy.

I hope this interview goes well though, it would really be a job I could enjoy.  I think…  even with the long drive.  I have to drive up there already 2 times a week anyways, so what is 3 more??  That is like 4 hours more of driving a week, it is about 40 minutes one way.  I will become an avid music listener again, which isn’t really a bad thing.  Driving to and from work is a good cool down and warm up, since I find driving very relaxing.  It will be fine.

My Pig Died…

Today was the day my pig died.  I have thought she was going to be dead everytime I have gone out there for a few months.  She must not have been absorbing nutrients from her food because she looks like she has never been fed.  She just kept loosing more and more weight.

Well, last night.  I through down a bale of hay for her to play in.  I think this is the only enjoyment she got in life ruffing up a new bale of hay into the perfect sleep hole.

She has it all ruffed up.  She ate 1/2 of what I fed her last night.  She was outside dead though when I went out today.  Yeah, she didn’t even die in her perfectly pruned hay nest, she dies flat on her side outside in the pasture facing the barn.

I am sad, but not in the traditional sense.  I feel bad, but I am glad she is gone.  I think she was suffering here lately.  She was born in 1996, so 12 years is what a pot bellied pig lives.  She had a basically good life.  I owned her since she was the size of a grapefruit in your hands, she was over 100 lbs at her highest, now she is probably 40.  That is a guess of course.  I didn’t weigh her.

She is gone now though.
