MY MOM!!

Today was my 7th day at my job.  I think my boss has a warped view of how long I have actually worked there because I was there almost all of the time I was in my two week notice. I was studying these insurance tests though and not learning basically anything of my job.  If you count those days, this is like my 13th or `4th day there.

My days seem to be going quicker than they were last week.  I am learning things each day here, so getting so I can do more and more without help.  I still of course need my share of help.  This stuff is very complicated.

Kyra had a rough day today.  She didn’t use the potty at the babysitter’s today.  She instead peed her pants twice.  Now, Kyra is potty trained.  She just simply doesn’t do this.  She is past accidents for the most part and if she does have accident at home it is standing in front of the toilet unable to get her pants down.  We are going to try to leave the light on in the bathroom there tomorrow thinking maybe she wouldn’t go in there with it dark.

It is wonderful to go get her though.  I walk in the door to the big announcement “My Mom” sort of like “Woo Hoo”.  It is comical.  I wisk her away and home we go.

We played blocks a long time tonight, she can do towers with her Legos now.  She really likes them. We ate super and that is pretty much it.  The evening goes so short.  We have mornings too though.  We play in the mornings too and get our showers.  It is a really different day dimension than it used to be.

Oh, yeah…I have to rename this site.  Do you have any good ideas for it??  I have a couple, but would love your input.

Have a great night.

Situation Sunday - February 25th

Yes, I am a week behind.  I seriously posted last weeks Situations yesterday thinking that I was current.  I am really loosing it.

Situation # 1
You have lived in your house for many of generations. The property next door is for sale. Your great Grandfather planted a huge tree that is right on the boarder of both properties. You love adore that tree as part of the history of it as much as it looks. People have purchased the place next door and want that tree removed. Half of it’s root system is on theirs and yours. What do you do?

Have a conversation with them about the history of the tree, but ultimately it is the possession of both and it one doesn’t want.  I don’t believe the other can force it to be there.

Situation #2
You are lying in your second floor bedroom. Looking up at the stars at night through the skylight window. All of the sudden you hear a loud thump on the roof. The next thing you see out of the skylight window is this creature that is naked. It has arms and legs, the anatomy of a man, but also a long tail. Clearly you realize this creature is not of this world. You reach for the phone and it is dead……What do you do?

Keep looking out the sky light window.  This would be an interesting sight, I wouldn’t want to miss a minute.

Situation # 3
You have been selected to appear on Oprah’s Big Give, it is a new competition where she gives you a million dollars to give away along with 10 others. You have to give it all away the quickest , and the best…as meaning the neediest and most deserving….What do you do?

Start passing out cash on the streets of small towns (skip the city everyone gives stuff away in cities), like the one I live in.  Give to those small shop owners, give to the middle section.  It would be fun.  There are needy people everywhere look around.  Most people I know would flip at being given $100.  We need it, but don’t have it.

Situation Sunday - February 24th

Here is my Situation Sunday for this week.

Situation #1
You are driving in the city, the car in front of you runs a red light and crashes with a oncoming car. The car that ran the red light belongs to the Mafia, and states it was not their fault. The police officer asks you if you saw what happened, what do you do?

Why do I know all this information.  Has anyone not driven in the city before?  People don’t really stick around for accidents do they??  I would not know who was driving the car, nor would the cops have ever seen me.  That would be almost any situation in a city driving.  I would have turned on my turn signal and went the scenic route to my destination never having stopped or anything.  Am I heartless???  It is city though, there are the people walking on the street and more than enough rubber necker surely they would have gotten help.

Situation #2
You are at home and your cell phone rings….accidentally, the person you have on the other line didn’t realize as they put it in there purse the hit the button that contacts you, As you try to say Hello, it goes unheard and you can hear their conversation. The person is talking to your boss which is also theirs, They are spreading lies to make you look bad and them look good…..What do you do?

Ask them about it when I see them next making a point that I see them next within a reasonable amount of time.

Situation#3
A planet loaded with extremely toxic gas is on its way to crashing into the earth. Scientist, and all the world leaders foresee the end of the earth in 4 months,, The end is near and now it is time to plan…….What do you do?

How do you plan for the end of the world?  Who cares, just live.  Enjoy your life like you hopefully do everyday anyways.  If you aren’t, you should change something.  I love my life and the end of the world isn’t really a big deal in my eyes.  I wouldn’t change a thing.

Weekends Are The Best!!

20080223_00706pI am glad I took this job that I have every weekend off.  Weekends now rock.  Yesterday we rode 4-wheeler for like 2 hours.  We went and got my car serviced and all that mess.  We baked cookies.  It was all around a great day.

20080224_01208a Today we went to CR Bucks with Lyn and her family.  We stayed about 30 minutes longer than they did looking at the deer and playing with the trains that they have set up for kids.  We went shoe shopping after, which I got a pair of dress shoe flats for work.  I had been wearing boots all the time.

We went to the mall and got another pump for my basement.

We got home played like crazy both inside and out.  I am dead tired.

I could have fell asleep already, but Kyra keeps me awake.  LOL…  I made super and Tom came out to visit.  He is looking for the spin wheel for the rock show.  I did have it so woo hoo…that is found.  We are ready for the show, I think.  Now I just have to post it every where around the internet in the next couple weeks.

Hope you had a nice weekend too.

Sleep…

I slept so well last night that this morning when Stephen woke up. (He gets up at 4:30.)  I couldn’t go back to sleep, like I usually would.

I instead got up and worked on here.  I changed the colors of my site and the header image, what do you think??

I also got the call from the school that they closed school.  I am not off of the mass calling list yet.  That is okay though, but it makes me glad to not be a bus driver anymore.  There is like 2 inches of snow and they canceled school.  That means I wouldn’t have gotten paid for today and I would have to drive on a day when I would rather have been doing something else.  It’s good to not be driving.

My new work is torturous though.  I really look forward to knowing what the heck I am doing.  I am still feeling somewhat lost.  I have read and studied a lot about insurance and know a lot about policies, with how it all works.  What is covered, what isn’t covered all that fun stuff.  It now sort of sits in my brain as unused knowledge because I don’t know the systems in place to get this to the people that need it.  I don’t know how to look up what coverage a person has versus doesn’t have.

The study material for me to study to be able to get my state agent license has came in, so I will be doing even more studying of policies and procedures, probably more than learning other stuff I think I should know.  I feel somewhat worthless and sometimes even distracting while I sit in the office that I may eventually call mine.  It has other occupants as of now, so I and they share.

Kyra is doing exceptional so far with all this coming at her.  She is an amazing person.  I miss her though, so very much.  I was going to let her stay with her dad tonight all night, but who knows if that will happen. It feels like I have hardly seen her.  I know tomorrow is our day, but I have to go get my oil changed in my car which now is getting driven actually.  That won’t be bad though.  I should also do some house cleaning, so maybe she can help me with that.  She is probably better at it than I am, she gets lessons from her father.

Anyways, I off to get shower and get ready for work.  Woo Hoo…  it is Friday, so I can wear my jeans.  I like Friday’s already.  Have a great day!

My Poor Dog…

It takes longer than I thought to get the childcare stuff all going.  I leave here about an hour before I have to actually be to work.  It takes that long to get Kyra to the substitute me for the day.  I am in a different office in the afternoon and it takes well over an hour to have retrieved her.

In the mean time, my dog has been cooped up for all this time.  I am now feeling sorry for him.  I think Stephen is going to stop and let him out everyday for a few minutes when he is home from work.  This is only like 2 hours before I get home though.

The crazy thing is that his dog is cooped up too, he was earlier than mine.  He just won’t be for the same length of time.  It is very crazy.

My job is going well though.  I think I am learning fast, but I generally learn fast anyways.  Kyra is doing exceptionally well.  Things are going well except where does the time go, this is the part that will take some getting used to by me.  Surprised that I am not behind on laundry and things like that.  It is taking all my computer time and I am not competent enough at work yet to have time to use that one.  Yes, I am competent at the computer, but not at the stuff I am working on to have time to stop that at the moment.

First Day…

It was long, I forgot what 8 hours felt like.  It was a long day.  I did good though.  It is a lot of information to learn and it isn’t very entertaining.

I learned I have to figure a way to get some exercise, this could be rough on my toosh.  I won’t over eat though, so should be good.

I am still nervous for tomorrow with Kyra going to childcare for the first time.  I think she will be fine even though I am nervous.  She will probably have a really fun day.

I have actually been working on my site here a few hours tonight.  I have tried out different looks and well, I don’t like them.  I like this one.  I have decided that I am going to work on changing this one out to fit my new needs versus using a totally new look.

What should I put as my picture at the top though, I have no idea.  I am thinking of doing something like spring flowers or a photo of some thing from my rock collection.  I don’t really want a picture of me there nor a picture of Kyra even though I think we are both sort of appropriate for here, we both change our looks almost daily.  LOL…

Well, I am going to bed.  Night.

Pizza Making…

20080217_01512p Caillou (Kyra favorite TV show) recently made pizza with his friends on the show, so we had to make pizza with Kyra doing everything almost completely by herself.

Yes, she stirred the dough.

She pressed it onto the pan.

She put the sauce cheese and all the toppings on.

20080217_01812p It didn’t turn out to bad, she had sauce off of the crust, so that portion burnt, but over all a great pizza maker has been born.

We took our pizzas and shared them with Stephen and his parents.  We had rented the movie Candyland, so we watched that.  It was a fun day.
