Well, That is Done!

It really did end that fast.  I cried like 2 times during my last day at the thought of not seeing some of my friends the way I do now.  It went smoothly though and the kids really don’t have a concept of what is going on only that they will have a new bus driver.  It is strange the questions that they ask though, I answered all of them though.

I will miss quite a few students though.  There are some of course that I won’t miss.

As far as my bus, I didn’t expect it.  The contractor was waiting in my driveway when I got back from my afternoon route, they gave me my last pay check and off they went with the bus.  It was quick, fast, and in a hurry.  GONE!  I was going to sweep it out and stuff too.  Oh well, that doesn’t make me sad.  LOL…

I am excited, nervous, and sort of have this overwhelmed feeling as I look forward to my next few weeks.  My finances are hurting and now where I had multiple sources of incomes, most of them are drying up.  I put in all my notices and my last checks are coming.  I don’t get paid at my new job for 3 weeks, so this month I am tightening down.

I have enough food though, there is oil in the tank, the house payment is made, so we are good. I bought dog food today, so Deuce won’t be starving either.  LOL…

We went 4-wheeler riding today out in the snow.  It is fun to do donuts on the 4-wheeler in the snow and ice, sliding around.  Kyra was laughing and laughing.  She was outside later in the evening throwing ice and then Deuce was running and getting it for her.  She was outside a whole lot today.  She was 1/2 watching for Stephanie to come out though, she is always wanting to play with Stephanie.  I really hope she gets as excited to play with Emma as she does Stephanie because if she does, I won’t have much issues leaving her there while I work.  I so want her to be excited going to her new baby sitter.  (I hate the word baby sitter though, is there a better word for that??)

Anyways, everything is going good, looking up, positive things are happening.

Kyra’s Last Ride…

This morning Kyra had her last school bus ride until she rides the school bus on her own.  She has more experience riding school busses though and most 5th graders.  Yeah, my two year old has rode in the bus since she was 6 weeks old.  She rode 5 routes a day up to Janauary of 2007, since than it has been 4 routes a day.

She is now moving on to the next phase of life and a stressful one for me.  She will be with child care two days a week with me working my new job.  This is a huge stress on me.  She is with her dad the other 3 days, so that is good.  I do prefer her with him.  I wish I could just snuggle with her all the time.

I have such mixed feeling about all this.  It is just crazy.

Alive…

I am still going.  I have been working double time.  Playing triple time and just generally avoiding my computer.  I can’t wait for next week when I start my new job and things should seem to settle in.

There has been no school the last two days, so you would think that it would make me less stressed, but it only makes it worse on me.  I don’t get paid anything when there is no school, so my finances are in stress zone and this doesn’t help.  I get paid every 2 weeks at my new job, so have to wait like 3 weeks for my first paycheck.  I was planning on preserving this last bus check, but it looks like it is going to be $100 less than anticipated.

Other than that, things are good.  I should become more stable on posting here.  I have some great photos and stories of Kyra to post.

Situation Sunday - February 10th

The wonderful Helena compiles these complex situations each and every Sunday.

1} You are living in a small city. Your yard is all fenced in. One day you are out fiddling around your garden, and your back gate quickly opens up…a man is there and quickly as he can closes the gate and approaches you. It is the President of your country. He explains to you all of his body gaurds are dead,,,,and now "They" are after him. As you ask him to define "They", he exclaims not now please…Hide me! You have your loved ones in side…….What do you do?

My backyard is easy to hide in, so I would just say "Hide away".  I wouldn’t take Bush into my house though, goodness gracious.

2} You have a half sister, just by a remarriage of your father. She is 44 years old, {her blood mother excluded her from the will when she died} She has been in and out of rehabs,,,….Well she has straightened out for the most part….married and struggling between jobs. She has asked if she can live with you till she & hubby gets on her feet. She was just living with her blood sister, but she kicked them out. What do you do?

No, she can’t live with me.  I’d maybe help her get a place, but no.  It has nothing to do with 1/2 sister or anything though, she could be full on sister.  NO.

3} You have just found a treasure chest worth 5 million. Easy spending it with out any questions. But there has ben a notice around searching for it for years, a reward of a half a million…….What do you do?

So the question is 5 million dollars easy money versus 1/2 million dollars by doing the right thing.  I think this person who made this reward is crazy.  Maybe I would say I found it and there was only 4 million, is that 1/2 good??   Bury the first million somewhere for Kyra when she is older and take that award money and mostly pay off my bills and invest the rest.  I like where I am at.

New Theme, I am de-bus driverizing my site.

Yeah, I am going to go with a new look for my site.  I am going to revert more to back how I started.  I think I like this theme with the two columns and the over all casual look.

I am going to change up the site as my life is changing up.  I guess as life goes so comes change and since this is the site of my life.  It should change as I change.

I have a lot more work to do with this look, but I am going to leave it a work in progress instead of using my test site like I usually do. You will see changes everyday probably for a month or two if you check back all the time.

Colors will change the images will change the title will change everything will change basically, but the history of this site will not, you will always be able to go back and read about my experiences as a bus driver.

My last day is Friday the 15th, so you will continue to read about it for this week.

The 18th is my first day as the receptionist, manager, etc. for an insurance office.  This office sells Nationwide policies exclusively, so you will read about my new experiences with this as we go as well.

Stephen’s Birthday…

How is it that I don’t post for a couple days and my readership goes up by at least 10 readers.  This is crazy, it goes against everything that they tell you.

Anyways, Thursday was Stephen’s Birthday.  I stayed working on Thursday though, but spent the day with him instead of going to the insurance office and taking these tests.  I don’t get paid to go there yet anyways, I am just preworking basically.  Getting myself ahead in knowledge…LOL…

So we stayed home and watched Devil’s Advocate, which is a pretty good movie.  I like the end where the "devil" says Love is overrated and that the same feeling can be achieved by eating large amounts of chocolate.  That is pretty funny in my sick mind.  LOL…

We had cake and all that good stuff with his family that evening.  He had ice cream cake, it was very good.

Yesterday, he took off work too.  He took vacation days, so was paid and all that.  He had them scheduled a long time ago.  Anyways, I took off my afternoon routes just because I can.  When I get going at my new job there will be no time off for at least 90 days and probably not much after that except holidays.  You know standard week vacation deal.  So we did all sorts of running, we were all over town doing all those day time errands that are hard to do while at work.

We went to lunch at Red Robin on them from the birthday club.  I love that place.  LOL…

We went to Sears to get my oil changed and get this, the lady that runs the cash register called in, so they closed the garage until 4 when the next cash register lady comes in.  That is just crazy.  LOL…  I didn’t get my oil changed.  We walked around the mall though.

We came home and I don’t know why but I was exhausted.  We laid watching South Park from the DVR.  We both fell asleep.  That was like 3 and at 6 finally woke up.

Now for me that is like half a nights sleep.  Needless to say, I didn’t sleep like at all last night.  I was so not tired.  I just laid there thinking what is my problem all night long, so remind me not to take naps.  They aren’t good for me.

Adam brought Kyra back to me instead of me going and getting her, so that meant I didn’t do my Carlisle job.  Darn it…  I am sort of upset on that.  I have to go up there tonight and do that now.  I am so dumb sometimes.

So that was the couple days I missed here.

It Boils Down…

Well, I am busy.  There is no way of denying it, but this is going to come to an end.  No, I am not going to become not busy.  I will get to a point where I am less busy though and my postings and everything will even out again.

Here is my typical day this week and next week.

6:30 - 9:00 - Drive Bus

Shower as fast as I can.

9:30 - 1:00 Insurance Office Studying some of the most boring stuff.  Yes, there are entertaining portions like the part about explosions and falling spacecraft, those were sort of entertaining, but I think any insurance person will agree this stuff isn’t the most exciting to read about.

This was different today, I went and did my Circuit City job and that, but next week is my last week of that as well.

2:00 - 4:00 Drive Bus

4:00- 5:00 Play or Relax depending if Kyra here or not.  Today, we painted which is nerve wrecking, but fun at the same time.

6:00 - 7:00 Plan Dinner, Clean, Do Laundry, all that fun stuff.

8:00 - Think about and plan sleep.

I am beat.  I will be doing this approximate schedule until next Friday at which time things will get easier.

I will after that be at one job all day and have only one job.  It will be great, relaxing, aaaahhhh.  This having so many part-time and also trying to take these tests is just crazy.  I feel like I have to do it though, so it is good.  It is just draining.

The good news is Kyra is doing great through all this.  I think she is really going to enjoy her time with the child care that I found.  This lady is a friend from my MOMS CLUB, so not a total stranger.  She has a 3 year old girl that Kyra will probably just adore.  She also has older children, so when Kyra gets to the point she is bored with the 3 year old.  Two more girls will get home from school, she will just be so excited when they come.  I wish I could see her face.    Kyra will be here only Tuesday and Wednesday also, so it won’t get old very fast or I don’t think it will.

I am still deciding what to do with my driver news category.  I am thinking of getting someone else to do those posts because it is a popular category, but I really don’t know.  I could maybe change to insurance news because I will definitely add to what I am watching.  I like the strange news on topics that interest me anyways, so maybe that will be fun.

Anyways, this is what I am up too and why I am not out visiting all your sites on a bi-daily basis.  I am not that behind on reading though and am trying now to catch up some before I go to bed.

Have a great night.

Top Spot…

Ok, so I have to resort to begging.  Will someone please buy a top spot in the link bar on my right sidebar??  They cost $2 and at this rate will be there for forever.  I just want to see how it works and if I want to keep it around.  I will keep the links though somewhere if you buy them.

Manic Monday - February 4th

manic-monday

Lisa brings Manic Monday alive each week.  Go check her out.

Questions:

  1. Is there anything to serious to joke about? If so, what falls into that category for you?
  2. Would you rather be a tortured genius or a happy simple-minded person? Why?
  3. A dear friend or family member has a terminal illness and is in agony. He/she wants you to help him/her die. What would you do?

Answers:

  1. I just simply have a serious personality.  I am not a big joker.  When I tell a joke more often than not, I didn’t know it was a joke.  I know that is hard to believe, but that is the truth.  People that know me think I am funny though, but my funny is basically honesty.  There is a segment of jokes that I do not find funny a lot of these are the ones that fall in the just plain "duh" category.
  2. Happy simple minded person, well being a genius is torture all by itself.  Believe me!!  Oh, yeah… Why?  I would rather be happy anyday over tortured and I don’t believe anyone who says otherwise.  Ignorance is bliss.
  3. Research how many aspirin it takes to overdose and how many sleeping pills it takes to get to sleep easy enough to not feel the death part.  Do you think this type of research is available??  I glad to not have any friends that I know of as dying at this point.  My life is sort of all with living and rather on the healthy side, thankfully.

Situation Sunday - February 3rd

The lovely Helena brings us Situation Sunday each week.  Check her out!

Situation # 1
You are on a busy windy mountain road. There is only 2 lanes for traffic, coming and going. The truck in front of you is a car carrier with a full load of cars, as it is going around one of the turns you notice a chain break on the top…almost as in slow motion the cars start rolling off and heading towards you……What do you do?

What I saw a chain break, this isn’t like me.  I would probably be dead before I saw a chain break on a truck.  Okay, so I do see it.  I swerve and my chances are still 50/50 for death.

Situation # 2
You are having a dinner party and as much as you want to invite a close friend, you hesitate to ask them because their spouse/partner is very hard of hearing and mostly yells their words. When you friend hears of the upcoming dinner what do you say or tell them?

That this was a private dinner and that they will be invited next time.  You don’t invite everyone to everything, get over it.

Situation # 3
Your partner tells you that they care for you a lot. But as time has passed they no longer feel turned on by you, actually a lot of things they see in you now finds them repulsed…..What do you say or do?

Well, good bye would be in order don’t drag this on.  It is so immature to keep going when things are sucking, time makes you more invested, so leave as soon as you know it isn’t going to work and invest your time in new potential.
