    Richard…you are like family too. Adam worked with you so long. That he talked about you all the time (good of course) and even though I have only met you in person once. I feel like I know you.

    I actually have no issue with the fact that my bus isn’t A/C’ed. It is perfect for me in the area I live. We don’t need the extra expense of A/C that could be used for driver wages which we do really need.

    Understand that down here school started a week ago and the heat indexes can get into the 140’s, 150’s. By the same token, do we really need buses to have heat down here? Sometimes maybe, maybe drivers and kids should freeze down here when it gets cold every so often. All it takes is once, plus in urban areas violent and unruly kids are more easily set off when it’s hot.     How do you even retain drivers when they suffer and sweat and get fatigued in the intense heat.

    I did read your site. I don’t think I suffer, sweat, or get fatigued from heat where I am. I sometimes turn the heat on in the mornings even. I can understand your proposal for places more south than where I am in southern PA, but I would much rather more pay before they go investing another $900 in my bus. My bus is fine actually perfect for my job. I don’t think my kids get more upset when it is hot either. I have a nice even tempered bunch of kids, that I love. I think the kids that get set off will be set off no matter the temperature.
