Today was sort of a good day. I got a lot of work done on my various projects. It was actually one of my most productive days in awhile which is a good feeling.
My routes went smoothly.
Kyra was beyond good. She even took her nap slightly early and without a fight, which is great.
I finally got a doctors appointment for my toe. I haven’t talked about it on here though, but it has been infected for over a month now. It is slowly getting worse and not better. Well, it did get better slightly from last week. It was about 1/2 inch wider last week, but than something happened and it bursted. Ever since than it has been leaking off and on…
Well, anyways. I went to the doctor today and he said it was a really bad ingrown toenail. (Here is the picture…that yellow stuff all around the inside of my nail is where it drains, blah…) I knew it was bad or else I wouldn’t have been there. He gave me antibiotic prescription. (I told him I had stolen Kyra’s prescription and took them.) He told me that he didn’t think it would heal, but there was a chance and I should take it. So, I have 7 days worth….here to hoping it heals.
If it doesn’t heal. I have to go to a special toe doctor. Yeah, those exist…wow. I always thought toes were too far from your heart to kill you, like my dad always used to say when I kicked something and screamed ouch or whatever. I was always hurting my feet. Yeah, things that go wrong with your toes can kill you or so my doctor said today.
Well, anyways..the doctor said that after I go to this special foot doctor. That this doctor will probably recommend my toe nail be removed. Yeah, blah. A toe without a nail. Has anyone reading here had this done that would be willing to send me a photo of there toe without a nail. I need to get this image in my head because right now it doesn’t sound to pretty. Can you paint the skin to make it look like a nail?
Anyways…that was my day. It wasn’t really as bad as this sounds. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, so my toe doesn’t hurt as much as even I would expect it too. I mostly just looks bad and hurts some if you like touch is roughly. Well, off to bed…Night.
