The Statutory Construction Blog ask an interesting question today. When is a school bus stop a school bus stop?? Does it stay a stop even after the kids are gone and is it a stop on the weekends??
I didn’t know that drug offenses came with a more severe punishment when the activity is done at a school bus stop.
My personal opinion is that places are bus stops when kids aren’t standing there waiting for a bus. I mean….every other house would be a bus stop in my area if bus stops were any where kids got on the bus. I also think that if the guy was dealing only when kids were not around, well he was being respectful as there are a whole lot of drugs around and a lot of drug dealing that happens with kids in the same room.
