Situation #1} A friend of yours is having surgery, it is not life threatening and they shall be fine in a week. But they live alone and really need a friend to be there with them the first 2 days of being home. They are scared and might need your help. They have no family that lives in the same state. They live in another county than you. They ask you to stay with them. Your Boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse is totally jealous of you not being “home”. And they forbid you in going. Realize that nothing you say to your significant other will help or make it better. What do you do?
I would have a really hard time going somewhere else to sleep, but for only 2 days. I would do it anyways. Adam would get over it. I would do most anything to convince him not to be mad at me before I blatantly went against his words. I don’t think this would be near realistic with the way we work. I think Adam would be likely to ask me to take Kyra with me and tell me to have fun.
Situation #2} You have dated this person and for one reason or another you are broken up. Time goes by and you are with another but yet you have unresolved feelings for this person. A close friend of your wants to date them. Could you stand by and remain friends with that person even thou it hurts you…?

Situation #3} Your parent is getting up there in age. They have always been very independent. And refuse to stop doing things after clearly they can’t. They want to continue to drive, even if it means going 35 miles a hour. How do you stop them and take away the keys?…..They tell you if you try to stop them they will take you out of their will and disown you. What do you do.
I don’t think I am in a position of saying who can and can’t drive. It would not be within my rights to say someone can or can’t drive no matter the speed or relationship.
Situation #4} You have booked this holiday reservation at this resort that promises every thing perfect. Pool- golf- 5 star restaurant. Excellent service. You have paid in advance and look forward to it. You get there and it falls way short of your expectations. The pool is filled with pond water and not chemically treated. The golf course is overgrown with weeds and not maintained…..The 5 star restaurant actually serves Kraft Macaroni and cheese. They refuse to give you anything back……your only vacation of the year…..what do you do?
This sort of happened to me, but not 5 star. It was a motel in Orlando. I have reservations for almost a year, paid in advance. I was going to the Ebay Live convention. I think it was 2001, so quite a few years back. I had asked for the top floor as far away from the stairs as possible. This wasn’t a luxury motel or anything like that, so penthouse doesn’t apply. LOL…
I just don’t get to sleep that well and at that time was going to bed early. Hearing people lugging stuff up the stairs and others stomping around above me was what I didn’t want.
I got there they gave me second floor (there were 3 floors). They gave me right beside the stairs, as a matter a fact it was 3 steps outside the room door to the stairs.
I went to the front desk and asked for a new room. They wouldn’t give me one as I had requested. They told me that my requests were considered suggestions because I got such a cut rate. Can you believe that?? I paid like $90 a night or something like that….for a week stay and they couldn’t give me the top floor. It makes me wonder how many people request the top floor. Is the middle so undesirable??
I did end up staying there, but it wasn’t the highlight of the trip. I wrote the corporate office a letter when I got home though. They sent me a refund of 50% which was swell, so I won’t tell you the motel name. It was resolved more than fairly.
I would really cause a stink if it were a luxury and nothing turned out. I am sure the world would hear about that one. I start would start going crazy on every opinion site I can find and every travel site I can find. I would start e-mailing every travel agent I could find. I am a terrible customer to make mad. I am generally fair though, I tell exactly what I want and don’t think I am to over the top with this sort of stuff.
